After switching to full frame i needed something that could give me a field of view that were pretty close to the one I got from my EF-S 24mm f/2.8, so I bought a 35mm f/2 IS which is a totally overlooked lens. It is sharp and fast to focus, has a stabilizer and has a very usable focal length. Nothing beats 35mm.

This Church, which is actually Called Frederiks church, is located in Copenhagen and has the largest church dome in Scandinavia. The picture here is taken from the royal palace Amalienborg.

A picture I took at the Danish Airshow at Flyvestation Aalborg back in 2012, but never really got around to doing anything about. It were raining like crazy that day and many of the flying displays were cancelled. This plane is a Lockheed Martin F-16AM Fighting Falcon from the Belgian Air Force (FA-121)

They are incredible poseable and well thought out.

Grobnik Bellringer
A member of the incredible noisy Croatian carnival crew The Grobnik Bellringers. These guys had oversized cow bells attached to their back and walked between the members of the crew and banged their cow bells together. Noisy, but fun to watch.

Behind the wires
After days of snow and heavy clouds, the sky finally turned blue again. It were -6 degrees Celsius outside and very beautiful. The fields where the sheeps stay in the summer were empty, so I thought I would see how the view were from the other side of the wires.
..oh and I also found out NOT to use the lens hood for the 24-105L.. it leaves some heavy vignetting on the pictures..

On of the small and easily overlooked streets in the center of Aalborg is Brettevillesgade. The large building at the end of the road is Nordkraft, a former powerplant located in the heart of Aalborg.
Robin
This cute little robin has been frequenting our bird feeder all winter. It has been extremely cautious and shy so it took a while to get a good shot of it.
This shot was taking at a distance of approximately 3 meters, while hiding behnd our kitchen window. The sun was setting as can be seen in the birds eye, and I think that made it hard for the Robin to spot me.

High Powered
It’s a new year.
It’s time to make a fresh start and why not do it with full power?
For me, this is also kind of a new start as it is the first picture uploaded using my new full frame camera, an EOS 6D and also a new lens, the Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS.

Under the bridge -Revisited
Several years ago, when I were only a few years into my photographic journey, I took a picture under the railroad bridge crossing Limfjorden in Aalborg, Denmark.
At that time I were using the cheap but cool Nifty-Fifty (Canon 50mm f/1.8 II) on an EOS 1000D body. It was my first prime lens and it really taught me a lot, especially about the dangers of a too narrow depth of field, but also that 50mm on a APS-C sensor is way to tight for me.
Now, 4½ years later I decided to try again using my Sigma 30mm lens on my EOS 60D. Yup, still shooting crop 🙂
I like the new version a lot more than the original. It does not seem as closed as the original version.
