Found this nice shot of two de Havilland DH100 Vampires at Danish Airshow, back in 2018.
It was the last time the Danish Airshow were hosted at Flyvestation Aalborg. Then we had that little pandemic thing and after that the war in Ukraine forced the Royal Danish Airforce to prioritize other activities.

But it seems like it will return to Aalborg in 2026. I sure hope so.

Out of the darkness

A Mi-171 (NATO code name “Hip”) with reg. 9781 from the Czech Republic photographed in Aalborg, Denmark, during Operation Nighthawk 2021.
As some might have noticed, I have a thing for planes and helicopters, so when I hear a helicopter with an unfamiliar sound, I have to check out which helicopter it is.

Danish Falcon

Today (September 5th 2021) is Flagdag in Denmark. It is the danish version of Veterans Day, where we celebrate and give our respect to the danish soldiers who have served and been stationed at NATO based throughout the world.
The photo is one I took some years ago at the Danish Airshow 2018 of the RDAF F-16A Block 20 MLU with registration number E-607. This plane has also been stationed at some of the worlds hot spots since it entered service in 1983.

A beautiful old CF-104D Starfighter, blowing smoke and making whistling sounds before its flying display at Danish Airshow 2018. Unfortunately, as you can see from this picture, it were raining a lot, and the pictures I got of the Starfighter in the air are more or less crap.

RED 18

A beautiful classic SB-Lim 2. SB-Lim 2 is actually a MiG-15 UTI (Two seated trainer), but built in Poland.
This old bird were built back in 1952 and is operated by the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron.
